The Victory Card
The Six of Wands, or the Chariot?
The "victory" Card has always been the six of wands for me, but I read that the Chariot is also associated with victory"
And yet the Chariot is not just about victory. It is an energy that says more than that. It is the force of will and determination that leads to victory, this combined with strength that is close to unstoppable. Like Indiana Jone's type of relentless quest for whatever treasure he is after.
The six of wands is more like a celebration of a victory, and might answer the question someone asks like: "Will I win the match, will I get the job, will I graduate?" The six of wands answers that question with "Yes!"
Yes I see quite a bit of distinction between these two cards. With the six of wands, there is a celebration, and with the Chariot, an energy that says, "Get out of the way I'm coming through!"
With the six of wands I see the joy of accomplishment while the Chariot is a hard victory won by force. The winner won because winning was part of the plan. The chariot is not a win-win situation. There is definately a looser somewhere in the equasion. But with the six of wands, a win-win situation could well exist. A person is awarded, recognized and cheered for. The Chariot win could be a win where the winner is not always cheered for, but acknowledged as the obvious winner. The Chariot destroyed the competition.
